Although most of her inspiration comes from the landscape and places she has been, from time to time Lupe Cunha looks closer to home at the flowers, fruits and objects around her for inspiration. Still aiming for an emotional response to what she sees and describes, these works are far more recognisable than her abstracts. However concern over light, colour, shapes and harmony are much more important than an accurate description of the subject. This collection usually has only one or two pieces of each and are almost a rest from the main focus of her normal work.
